Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that develops in the mesothelium lining that covers the internal organs. The most common form of mesothelioma is pleural mesothelioma which is a cancer in the lining of the lung. Asbestos exposure is the sole cause of pleural mesothelioma. For this reason it is easy to make the connection between the disease and past asbestos exposure and file a claim.

Lung cancer is a cancer in the lungs. Asbestos exposure significantly increases the likelihood of getting lung cancer but is often not the sole cause.
